Dahlia Kaufman, PhD, MSEd
Founder and Clinical Director
I received my doctorate in educational psychology from the CUNY Graduate Center. I completed my psychological training in developmental therapeutic preschools in Brooklyn as a school psychologist. In that role I conducted testing and evaluations, provided counseling, play therapy, and parent and teacher consultations, as well as ran social skills trainings and groups.
Beyond my training, I have worked with children for over 25 years in a variety of roles and settings. These have included working as a high school teacher in public schools, educational researcher in a CUNY university research center, school psychologist in preschool, elementary and middle school settings, and psychologist in private practice.
I truly love working with young people and helping them reach past their obstacles to achieve stability, happiness, well-being, and confidence. I also have a passion for working directly with parents and helping them solve their parenting challenges. I am a NYC native and live in Park Slope, Brooklyn with my wife, two kids, and bernadoodle, Cindy.

I previously served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Zucker Hillside Hospital and as a Supervising Psychologist at the Partial Hospital Program at Zucker Hillside Hospital – Northwell Health, providing clinical supervision to psychology interns and externs. My practice is focused primarily on the treatment of young adults as well as women in different stages of their reproductive journey. I love working with new and expectant moms to help them gain the confidence to become the parents they strive to be while not losing themselves in the process. I am a native New Yorker and currently live in Westchester, NY with my husband, four kids, and labradoodle, Lucy.
Julia Rubens, LMSW
Associate Therapist
I received my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania with a Concentration in Child Welfare. Throughout my training, I had the privilege of working with children and adolescents across private practice and community mental health settings. In these roles, I provided therapeutic support through modalities including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Group Therapy.
With over a decade of experience in working with young people, I have held a variety of roles including work in schools, as a camp counselor (one of my favorites!), as a researcher at the University of Pennsylvania’s Psychology Department, and as a therapist in private practice. I am passionate about working with children and young adults between the ages of 3 and 21.
I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, relational conflict, challenging family dynamics, and self-esteem. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where clients feel empowered to explore their emotions and experiences. Additionally, I work closely with parents and caregivers to provide a family-inclusive and client-centered therapeutic experience.
I am a born and raised New Yorker, a new resident in Dumbo, Brooklyn, a middle-child, and a dog-lover.
I look forward to meeting your child, and helping them reach their full potential, develop the strengths they already possess, and being a part of their journey.
Golda Fleischman, LMSW
Associate Therapist
I graduated with an MSW from New York University. In my training, I had the opportunity to work with people throughout the lifespan, from children to adults, in a variety of settings, from private practice to community centers. I have worked with individuals dealing with, among other challenges, anxiety, depression, gender identity, OCD, attention and self-esteem issues.
I am also a certified birth doula, and in that capacity, I have had the unique opportunity to support and work intimately with expectant and new parents on their journey to parenthood.
I have experience with groups for parents—both of newborns and of teens—and love witnessing the transformation that occurs as people gain confidence in their abilities to nurture, nourish and support their children at any stage.
I am a 20-year ashtanga yoga practitioner and have taught both ashtanga and prenatal yoga classes. I have found that breath and movement can be helpful in cultivating mindfulness and finding emotional ease, while also relieving physical discomfort. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a public defender and had the privilege to accompany a wide array of individuals, in a variety of difficult situations, navigate extremely challenging circumstances.
With all my clients, in all situations, I strive to create an empathic, supportive, nonjudgmental and safe space where individuals feel seen, valued and empowered. I live in Westchester with my husband, two children, and black Lab, Baba.
